My research focuses on topics in international and comparative political economy, including the study of multinational corporations, political risk in emerging markets, international institutions, civil conflict, and trade protection. My latest project is a book entitled Nation-States and the Multinational Corporation: A Political Economy of Foreign Direct Investment (forthcoming, Princeton University Press). In 2004 I helped create the Program on Multinational Enterprises and the Global Political Economy funded through the Murray Weidenbaum Center on the Economy, Government, and Public Policy . This program sponsors academic conferences, holds public policy events, and maintains a working paper archive, all of which are dedicated to the academic study of multinational corporations and their impact on domestic societies. |
